Frankincense

King Tut was buried with Frankincense...it is that cool.  In all seriousness, this is one of the nicer oils you are going to come across.  It's also one of the harder to spell, so it is going to go by its shorter name--Frank.  Frank is pretty popular because its been shown to actually help cancer patients by working to shut down the part of the nucleus that "codes" bad information.  In addition frank actually works on different parts of the brain to affect emotion. Cool, huh?

Now, whether you believe that or not (I hope you to go find out in places other than me.) Frank still does a lot of cool things.  It's an anti-infectant, anti-depressant, anti-septic, muscle-relaxant, and sedative and anti-tumor.  Now, this allows it to help in a variety of ways.  It can help when you have colds and coughs.  It helps if you need a pick-me-up.  If you are anxious, or have insomnia.  I use it mostly for insomnia.  Frank is expensive, especially if you get it unadulterated.  So I only use it when I am desperate, but when I do use it I see a big difference.

Now, some people suggest diluting frank, but on the Young Living bottle it says the oil can be applied neat (without a carrier oil.)  Using the oil on children or on a first-time user it is always better to dilute first, try neat later, than to use the oil neat the first time and then have a reaction from it.  In my personal experience I have very sensitive skin but did not have a reaction, however, everyone is different.

Also, because frank is so expensive many places will adulterate it with oils like lavender, tea tree, or eucalyptus.  Be sure you are getting 100% frank.  If interested you can find it here.  Frankincense comes in the Young Living Premium Starter kit.  This is one of the reasons the starter kit is such a great deal.  Frank is an $80 oil.  You get it in the starter kit (and an $80 diffuser) along with 10 other oils.  That is the cost of the kit right there with those two items.
